About
Research
Learning the dynamics
of the physical world.
I'm a CS Ph.D. student at the University of British Columbia, advised by Prof. Peter Yichen Chen.
My research spans computer graphics, physical simulation, and machine learning. I work on computational methods and learned models for geometry and dynamics, with an emphasis on efficient simulation and physically grounded representations.
My current interests include neural simulation of fluids and particle systems, reduced-order models for physical dynamics, and applications of deep learning and generative AI to 3D content and biomolecular modeling. Across these directions, I aim to combine physical structure with data-driven learning to build models that are efficient, accurate, and controllable.
I graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Computer Science.
Before my Ph.D., I interned at SJTU DA Lab with Prof. Xubo Yang and Hui Wang, collaborated remotely with Bo Zhu, and worked at DMCV with Prof. Ran Yi. In fall 2024, I was an exchange student at the University of Toronto, working with Zhecheng Wang and Prof. Eitan Grinspun.
